EMPLOYER STATE WITHHOLDING TAX REGISTRATION

Employers are required to withhold state taxes from their employee(s) gross compensation with the state where the employee works. Payroll Tax Bridge will register the employer with the appropriate state to establish a state account number, and provide it to the employer. The employer will then provide the same account number to their payroll processor so when the processor submits payment to the appropriate state, the account number will allow for proper allocation

EMPLOYER STATE UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE TAX (SUI)

Employers are required to pay into unemployment insurance programs to finance benefits for workers recently unemployed. To where the tax is paid is dependent upon where the employee works. Payroll Tax Bridge will register the employer with the appropriate state to establish an Unemployment Insurance Tax Account number. Just like the withholding – the established account number can be provided to the payroll processor in order for proper allocation when submitting to the relative state.

LOCAL TAX WITHHOLDING

Employers usually are required to withhold from employee gross compensation local taxes that apply – depending on where the employee lives or works. Payroll Tax Bridge will register with the local jurisdictions to establish the account numbers needed for the payroll processing so that submission of the withheld taxes can be correctly allocated.

 

$99 per local jurisdiction
